I think that the pros of Industrialization most defiantly outweigh the cons. Our country has grown so much from Industrialization and its benefits. Without this movement we would not have all the convinces and appliances that we have today. Many great things arose from the Industrial Revolution such as the railroad, steam engine, spinning jenny, and the cotton gin. Through the Industrial Revolution people were able to mass produce many things. Because of this mass production the cost of good went down and the poorer class could afford more things that they normally could not. With mass production and the steam engine came the growth of more factories. The more factories that were built the more jobs became available. People had more money and were able to spend it on leisure things. With the pros though also come the cons. One con is all the pollution that the factories put out. Another is child labor. Poor families were forced to let their children work to earn more money for the family. Some children even worked as young as five. Many employers welcomed this because the children had quick and nibble fingers and their wages could be lower. Children were treated terribly and had to work in horrible conditions. This however was eventually changed by child labor law which made so that children could no longer work. The last con was the bad working conditions. Factories were dirty and grouse. The Machinery was dangerous and many toxins were in the air because of the machines. Workers were treated badly and if you became sick or injured you were out of a job. Because many people were forced to come to work when they were sick disease spread quickly. People worked 12 to 16 hour days and some had no breaks. In later years though unions formed and changed the way employers ran their factories. Although there have been bad cons most of them have been fixed. Without this revolution our country would not be the same. We have benefited greatly and have come a long way. I think the Industrial Revolution was for the best.
I agree with Liz Bittenbender when she says that was for the best. However I also think that what Steph Brown has to say is very important too. Although industrialization has helped us in thousands of way and benefited us too much of it can become bad. I think we should find a balance of both industrial and nature. Although scientists and naturalists are trying to find a way to reduce it pollution is still a problem that comes from industrialization. But is pollution going to stop us from making new advances in technology? Probably not so this is the price we must pay if we want to have all the convinces and benefits that we have today. Although that industrialization has helped us greatly there are always going to be problems because no way is perfect or right. As industrialization grows we will probably find more problems but how much are we willing to give up in order to make a change. With major capitalism in this world not much. And although we must take care of the earth we live on we must also take care of the people that live on it and for most that has something to do with industrialization
