The site I found is a BBC history site. It is very
informational and it gives a lot of detail. The site explains Athenian
democracy in four sections, how it got started, how people felt about it, the
affects it had on

The second site I found is on Greek culture. It has the
categories of Art & Architecture, History, Wars, People, Mythology,
Geography and the Olympics. It goes into depth with any of the eras of Greek
history people want to know about. It is written so it is easy to understand
and it mentions things that the book did but the site expanses more, rather
than summarizes what happened. In the Art and Architecture category the site
show examples of columns, temples to the gods and statues also they talk about
each idem shown and how they came to be. Under wars the site discusses many
parts of each war and leaders that conquered the territory they fought for. In
geography the site gives a summery of each city-state and many maps of where
they are located. It really helped me understand where each city-state was. The
site also provides a biography on many famous people of

The last website I found was on Greek wars. It mentions the Persian War, the Peloponnesian War, the Trojan War and the artillery that they used on Ancient Greece. In the statement about the Persian War it not only talks about the view point of the Greeks but also of the Persian so you can get a different outlook from the book. It gives many good facts and it has pictures at the start of each summery of the wars to see what the soldiers looked like and the things they wore into battle. The descriptions of the battles are very detailed and descriptive. This paints a good picture of how the wars really were. The way the site is written is easy to comprehend and understand. This website fits in with all the wars we as a class are talking about. It also gives a little more facts than the book does. One thing that this website describes that the book does not is the artillery. It mentions the weapons and method of warfare they used back in those days. This site helped me get what is like in the wars back in Ancient Greece.
