Why is pride like a doughnut?

A doughnut is like a pride because both of them make my dad happy. Like when I make my dad is proud of me it makes him happy, and when my dad gets a doughnut. The both fill you up and bloated. Doughnuts physically do those things to you but, pride mentally fills you and bloats you. Too much of both though can make you fat or fat headed.
