Alexander the Great was a wonderful leader and conqueror and although his life might seem impressive it was filled with many sorrows.  As a young boy his father, Phillip, was gone very often and for long periods of time. Since Alexander hardly saw his father he was distant from him and came to dislike Phillip. His mother, Olympus, and father didn’t have a good relationship. He related more to his mother and many people believe this is how he came to disliking his father. When he got older his father was murdered and Alexander had to take over the throne.

Alexander was a great conqueror and killed many people. Some time when Alexander would get drunk with rage he would kill his friends not knowing what he was doing. One time while he was drunk he got mad and killed a life long friend of his when he realized what he had done he tried to kill himself too but his bodyguards stopped him before he could. After that incident he locked himself in his room for three days.
