The Tools of the Magi, have evolved down Cultural lines, into that which the Major Religions and Practices throughout the World have come to Know and Love.
We will focus primarily on the Tools of Western Magick, from High to Low Magick, to the Ceremonial Magi and the Kitchen Witch.
Depending on your Tradition, one will use the Tools of ones Teachers, in the Way one has been instructed.
Any Practitioner needs specialized Tools, in order to achieve a Goal. Which Tradition you follow, or Coven you belong to will generally dictate what Tools will be required and used. Most items can be purchased online or through a near by shop. However, it always best if you can make your own Tools for your own personal and Ritual use. Before buying something see if you can't make an item first. If you can't, that's perfectly all right. Rather than running down to your local "New Age" or "Pagan" shop, you might try perusing your own home for these items or Flea Markets and Yard/Garage Sales!
The basic Tools many of us use are those which match the Tarot Suites: the Wand, the Sword, the Cup (Chalice), and the Pentacle. To these we include the Celtic Traditional Tools of Cauldron, the Staff (or Spear), the Sgian Dubh (the Black-Handled Dagger), the Sickle, and the newer Traditions of Bell, Book, And Candle.
