The Kinsey Scale Worksheet

Dr. Alfred Kinsey and his colleagues at Indiana University made invaluable contributions to define the enormous range and complexity of human sexual experience.  He created "The Kinsey Scale" to reflect the continuum of human sexual experience.

"0"  is Exclusively heterosexual
"1"  is Predominantly heterosexual, only incidentally homosexual
"2"  is Predominantly heterosexual, but more than incidentally homosexual

"3"  is Equally heterosexual and homosexual

"4"  is Predominantly homosexual, but more than incidentally heterosexual
"5"  is Predominantly homosexual, only incidentally heterosexual
"6"  is Exclusively homosexual

In order to ascertain his measure of your sexual orientation, add the numbers in the 21 boxes and divide by 21 in order to see where you place on The Kinsey Scale. You can then ask yourself if this grid is a fairly accurate indicator of your sexual orientation.  Your number can change over time.
