| Very interesting book. The unfinished tales is another book that J. R. R. Tolkien never got to finish and so it too was edited and compiled by Christopher Tolkien. The book is exactly what the title says it is: unfinished tales of Middle Earth. It covers stories from all the ages of Middle Earth and sheds a good deal of light on some of the more confusing points of Middle Earth history. Unfortunately, the tales aren't done (obviously) and that means a lot of the things Tolkien was trying to clear up for us remains a mystery. | |||||
| My Opinions: I haven't finished this one yet, but I am reading it. It's very interesting to read not only the stories in the book, but also some of Tolkien's commentary on the stories and characters. I'd definitely recommend reading this one if the appendices at the back of LotR left you wanting to know more about any part of Middle Earth history. | |||||
