Welcome to the new member of my household -- Wheezer! I rescued him from the backyard of Jeffrey's house on 13th Street. I took him to be cleaned up and neutered and found out that he has FIV. He's doing alright and reportedly cats that have FIV can live for quite some time, as long as they are kept in a clean environment.
Wheezer was only 8 lb. 10 oz. when I took him to the vet -- quite thin! He's still thin but putting on weight. He is always hungry when I feed him so I'm not worried. Also, I took care of a bacterium in his eyes with some medicine from the doctor and also he is finishing up his antibiotics for his upper respiratory infection (hence the name, lol). He doesn't actually wheeze much anymore. >^..^< More cat and knot-ball. |
