My new provider of services is very nice... Right from the start, our first trip together (QC - Mtl), he proved himself to be kind and understanding. He let me out of that black, cold box as soon as we got in the car, and I thought you were putting me in it to play!
For my part, I wanted to know who I was dealing with, so I meowed quite loudly, but not exaggerated, for the first half hour. His reaction was to talk to me and cuddle me constantly.
With such attention, I certainly couldn't give him a hard time. So, I installed myself on his lap to allow him to pat me. After a little while, I got my thoughts back together and realized I was being a little too friendly for a first encounter. So, I moved over to the passenger's seat, and believe it or not, it was heated. He never stopped surprising me. With such kind attention, I decided to sit on the console between the two seats for the last hour of the trip. Thereby getting closer but still keeping my attitude of proper young lady.
His apartment is pleasant, especially the stairs going to the second floor, we have races up and down, he always wins, but it isn't fair, he starts before me.
I really wanted to keep my behavior of proper young lady for at least a few weeks, so in the living-room, I would lay down on the arm of the couch and not on his lap. When he went to bed, I would lay on the night table near him. I often made my home under the couch, but since he was so nice, I came out as soon as he called. I had every intention of keeping up this behavior for many weeks.....but after two (2) days, after all, I was an Abyssinian..... since then everything is running smoothly and purrrrrring.
Oh yes, I made one other concession with my provider, from now on my name is Sassy. It seems “Sassy” refers to a enchanting young lady, I couldn't let such a compliment pass me by.
Now, I help him with all his chores, but I don't understand why sometimes my help makes him laugh and at other times it makes him grumble.
From a very personal experience, I can honestly say that 5 minutes laying in a very warm dryer, shut off naturally, is very much more pleasant than in a refrigerator..... I had to verify the compressor.
