Battle of the Books Setting Quilt
Due Dates (Group sharing): Grades 5/6 on March 23rd; Grades 7/8 on March 24th
Directions: Create a �quilt� on an 8 � x 11 paper that includes the following:
Part One. Sights Panel
(1 point) Draw a picture that shows at least three unique sights from the book.
(1 point) Include a caption box that explains these sights. Include page numbers
Part Two. Sounds Panel
(1 point) Draw a picture that shows at least three unique sounds from the book.
(1 point) Include a caption box that explains these sounds. Include page numbers.
Bonus: Use onomotopoeia to let your audience actually hear these sounds.
Part Three. Smells Panel
(1 point) Draw a picture that shows at least three unique smells from the book.
(1 point) Include a caption box that explains these smells. Include page numbers.
Bonus: Use perfumes, etc. to let your audience actually smell these things.
Part Four. Tactile Panel
(1 point) Draw a picture that shows at least three unique things that can be felt from the book.
(1 point) Include a caption box that explains these things that can be felt. Include page numbers.
Bonus: Use fabric, etc. to let your audience actually touch these things.
Part Five. Tastes Panel
(1 point) Draw a picture that shows at least three unique tastes from the book.
(1 point) Include a caption box that explains these tastes. Include page numbers.
Part Six. Center Panel
(1 point) Draw a picture that shows the main setting from the book.
(1 point) Include a caption box that includes the title, author, and explains this setting. Include page numbers.
