| Shaman Seduction Continued |
| "It's not nice to whisper ladies." exclaimed Dorian, shifting up behind her. Desiree glared at him and ignored his displeasure with their secrecy. "She can barely breathe. Please give her some room." Gloria suddenly clutched at her arm. "It's so hot. Please help me." Desiree quickly got her bag and pulled out a transparent cylinder vile containing a mysterious cobalt liquid. She manuevered Dorian out of the way so that she could get closer to Gloria's body. "Hurry. I need a piece of cloth." she stated, plucking the cork from the vile. Niko grabbed the sleeve of his shirt and tore it from its stiches. "Here. Will this do?" he said, placing the jagged fabric in her palm. She kissed him on his forehead. "Merci my child." She tipped the neck of the vile and allowed four drops of the murky blue substance to drain out onto the cloth. She then took it and grazed it across Gloria's wrists, stomach, and temples. A crisp haze encircled her body, enclosing her in a frostlike chamber. Desiree watied until the mist was a perfect oval and then her experienced hand touched the tip of the sphere. It burst and the vapor settled down all over Gloria's body. The drops of sweat covering her froze instantly and fell from her skin onto the bed where they disappeared once they hit the mattress. There was silence for a moment. "Oh gracias. So much cooler. So much better." As the children gathered around, Desiree's gaze connected with Dorian's. Icy cold eyes and a scorching body temperature only meant one thing: Fire & Ice. It was a toxic mixture that was like poison to a witch or warlock. It seemed as if she had been given small dosages over a short period of time. What on earth was this man doing to her? "Could I be alone with Madame Cortez?" she suggested. Dorian's eyebrows raised. "I'll send the boys out but I refuse to leave my wife, so if you don't mind, I think I'll stay." he stated in a low, devious tone. A chill rippled over Desiree's skin at the wickedness of his voice. "As you wish." While Dorian escorted his two sons out of the bedroom, Desiree quickly reached into her bag for a red and silver charm. She placed it under Gloria's pillow and whispered, "When you need me, whisper my name into the eye of the charm and I'll come." Gloria nodded. Dorian peered back at the ladies suspsciously. "So what is the diagnosis my dear?" "She is very ill. I believe she's been poisoned with Fire & Ice. There is a cure but..." "But the ingredients to prepare it don't exist anymore." interrupted Dorian. "Just don't let my babies feel any pain when I go. Promise me that." Desiree kissed the tops of her fingertips. "I'll make sure they won't hurt. I'm going to leave this by your bedside. It'll stop the fevers and it'll make the end less painful. That's all I can do I'm afraid." Dorian made his way towards her and she took fearful steps back until her body collided with the nightstand. "I suppose that's all we expected. Gracias my love. You've been such a comfort." His thumb grazed her cheekbone in a tantalizing caress that unleashed sparks of forbidden sensations to ripple through her body. Desiree felt her soul crumble in horror and she knew she had to get away from him as soon as she could. She stormed past him and out into the pouring rain. She had made it a fourth of the way down the road when his fancy car pulled up beside her drenched body. Rolling the window down, their gazes locked for a moment and Desiree became lost in the shadowed layers of lust and conquest that lurked in the crimson depths. "Will you get in this car and let me take you home?" suggested Dorian. Confusion paralayzed her and she clung to her wet fabriced case as she felt his eyes raking over her white sleeveless top, long black ruffled skirt, and bare feet in a quick judgemental survey. She didn't quite know who Dorian Cortez was as a man or as a Warlock, but what she did know was that he looked downright dangerous. "I'm fine. Go back. Your wife needs you by her side right now." she said, her voice raised now that the rain was beginning to fall harder. "Get in this car before you drown. I rarely offer my assistance so if I were you I would accept this graciously." he stated. She didn't have time to debate the issue with him so she ran to the passenger's side and hopped in. "So what's going on in the doctor's head right now?" "If you knew I wouldn't be able to produce a cure for your wife why did you bring me and how did she get poisoned in the first place. That's what I'm thinking. Whether you want to answer the questions is strictly up to you." "Well you seem to have all the answers. Why don't you fill in the blanks my dear." he replied. She chose not to continue the conversation and they drove the rest of the way in silence, as the storm clouds continued to shower the land with an unsettling rain that seemed to have come from nowhere. She quickly opened the car door and pulled her black sandals out of her bag. Water trickled from their soles and they gushed against the pads of her feet as she slipped them back on. He reached for her, stroking his thumb across a cool, suggestive droplet running down her neck and onto the thin shirt. She jumped, almost banging her head, as she stepped out of the vehicle. With her feet firmly planted on the ground, she turned to make her way across the lawn into the house, but saw him standing there instead. Evil can sometimes be like a panther, dark and sleek with the agility to move swiftly while calculating its next moves before the inital attack. Slowly, she revolved back to peer inside the car, hoping the body standing before her was just an illusion and he was still inside, waiting to drive off, but she wasn't that lucky. Frowning, she turned back to face him. She had to force her eyes to remain on his face rather than follow the enticing direction the water had taken, but it was a failed attempt. His Armani suit molded to his well built body as the rain poured down. She watched the droplets fall from his handsome face, down his neck and trail across the half buttoned shirt underneath his jacket. |
