The Art of Imagination
As poor young girls, Charolette and Emily Bronte began an elaborate game of make believe when their father brought home a small wooden soldier.  They gave him a name, personality, and family.  As time passed, their fantasy grew in characters and complexity.  For sixteen years the girls continued the diverse fantasy world which lead to the makings of some of their great works such as Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights.  My best friend, Jamie, and I started a pretend world of characters when we were ten years old in the fifth grade.  I suppose it was our form of escapism from the many trials and tribulations of adolescence.  As we got older, the charcters grew in numbers and their storylines stretched as far as our imaginations would go.  As of today, 15 years later, we have over 100 different characters.  Through the art of imagination, we were able to create books and novellas.  Here I offer you a glimpse into the world of our characters and the lives they have led.  There are some stories with the characters that Jamie and I have actually acted out and excerpts from books that came from the creation of the characters.
