| Cassandra first came into our world as Cassandra Morgan. She derived from the characters of my book Black Horizons. In the book, I talked of Cassy having blue contacts and curly black hair. When Jamie heard this description she thought of Janet Jackson. She was doing the blue eyes thing back then so I thought ok that can be Cassy. After awhile I got sick of looking at Janet Jackson so I decided to change Cassy's appearance. Now ever since I saw Rosa Blasi on Lifetime's Strong Medicine, I wanted to use her but I also knew that another character was the last thing I needed, so I just kept her on the back burner. Finally, her chance had come and the new Cassandra Blake was born. Now if you clicked on Cassy through the Jinniyah excerpt, don't feel lost. The new Cassy is a jinni. She started a connection with Cole Fuller and from that I came up with the story of Jinniyah. |
