Daniel
sees the End of Industrialism on Earth
in interpreting
the Dream of Nebuchadnezzar.
"You O king, sawest, and behold a great image standing before You, whose head was of gold, its arms and shoulders of silver, its belly and thighs of brass, its legs of iron, its feet part of iron and part of clay. You sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands; and it smote the image upon its feet, which were part of iron and part of clay, and brake them to pieces. Then was the clay and the iron, and the brass, and the silver, and the gold broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshingfloor; and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth."In the above scriptures all the metals, iron, brass, silver and gold, represent the age of industrialism, which is a corrupt age exploiting the earth. All of these metals are gotten from mining, which exploits the earth, which is home to countless creatures of the earth. This morality is perfectly in keeping with the Ethiopic Book of Enoch which sees mining itself as evil, as well as any alteration of creation. All bloodshed is forbidden in the Book of Enoch, which forbids all bloodshed, whether of other animals or humans. In that work the demon Azazel is responsible for animal sacrifices, and for the making of weapons through industry. Mining is seen as one of the "sorceries of fallen angels." Thus, Daniel's use of metals is different from that of Plato who uses them to symbolize the descent of humanity from the purest age of gold, to less pure ages reaching his present, and our own present, the iron age, which is the age of industrialism, since iron is one of the essential metals of industry. In the above scriptures, Daniel sees all metals as manifesting evil because they come from altering creation, the home of countless creatures.
Daniel Sees the
Degeneration of Humanity
Leading to the
Final Times.
During the time
of Degeneration, Carnivorism and Industry Prevail.
Carnivorism
and the institution of Animal Sacrifices
are seen in
the Images of the Lioness, the Eagle,
the Leopard,
and the Bear who is to Devour Much Flesh.
In the following scriptures the lioness, eagle, leopard, and bear are all carnivorous and the beast with the iron teeth is the beast of industrialism. We thus see the combination of the oppression of the carnivore killing God's creatures and eating them, and industrialism which routinely oppresses, displaces, abuses and kills the creatures of the earth in its excavations and predations upon the creatures and environment of creation.
"I Daniel saw, and behold, the four winds of the heaven strove upon the great sea. And four great beasts came up from the sea, diverse one from another. The first was like a lioness, and had eagle's wings: I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth, and made to stand upon the feet as a man, and a man's heart was given it. And behold, a second beast, like to a bear, and it raised up itself on one side, and it had three ribs in the mouth of it between the teeth of it: and they said thus unto it, Arise, devour much flesh. After this I beheld, and lo a third beast, like a leopard, which had upon the back of it four wings of a fowl: the beast had also four heads. After this I saw, and behold, a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; its great iron teeth and its claws of brass devoured and brake in pieces and it stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse exceedingly from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns. I considered its horns, and behold, there came up among them a little horn, and before it there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things." (Dan. 2:31-35)
Carnivorism
and Industry go hand in hand:
Both exploit
other creatures.
Both are condemned
by the Ethiopic Book of Enoch.
The fact that carnivorism is seen as the diet of industrialists should not be lost on the reader. Those who are imperialists towards the animals they eat are also imperialists towards the other animals. The "mouth speaking great things" is the mouth of industry and of theologians, rabbis, priests and ministers, who defend the false scriptures of Genesis 1: 26-28 and Genesis 9: 2-3, which defend subduing the creatures of earth, having dominion over them, eating them, and causing them to feel fear and dread.
Daniel Affirms
the Vegetarian Covenant of Genesis 1: 29-30
which is in
keeping with the Morals of the Ethiopic Book of Enoch.
"The visions of my head as I lay in bed were these: I saw, and behold, a tree in the midst of the earth; and its height was great. The tree grew and became strong, and its top reached to heaven, and it was visible to the end of the whole earth. Its leaves were fair and its fruit abundant, and it was food for all. The beasts of the field found shade under it, and the birds of the air dwelt in its branches, and all flesh was fed from it." 4: 10-12.The above scriptures are merely a more elaborate rephrasing of the Vegetarian Covenant of Genesis 1: 29-30:
"And God said `Behold I have given you every plant yielding seed which is upon the face of the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit; you shall have them for food. And to every beast of the earth and to every bird of the air and to everything that creeps on the earth, everything that has the breath of life, I have given every green plant for food.'" l: 29-30.The "Book of Daniel" clearly affirms that a vegetarian diet clarifies rather than confuses and perceives the will of God more clearly. Daniel and his vegetarian comrades understand the significance of the king's dream, whereas the King's advisors eating the king's rich food, i.e. flesh, do not.
"In every matter
of wisdom and understanding he found them ten times better than all the
magicians and enchanters that were in all his kingdom." 1: 20.
