Exterior canvas includes sail cover, tiller cover, companionway cover, and winch covers. Boat comes with life jackets, fire extinguishers, horn, first aid kit, and flares, and has passed the Coast Guards Vessel Safety Check. This boat features modifications to enhance both its cruising and racing capabilities, including an adjustable backstay and lines run to the cockpit for single-handed sailing. Ribbit is our "flagship", a nice boat with lots of handy extras. We didn't even realize all the extras she had until we started restoring other boats and saw that many of the things we were taking for granted on Ribbit weren't included on other boats. Things like the cockpit cubbies (a necessity for keeping sunblock, sunglasses, and bug repellant), cockpit compass (all boats should have a compass!), anchor locker (a much better idea than leaving anchor rode strewn all over the deck), dual lifelines (most boats have only one lifeline around the perimeter, if any. Two lifelines are much more secure, and Ribbit's are articulated so that you can disconnect them in the cockpit and still be secure in the bow), LOTS of interior sliding cupboards and a pair of interior grab rails (again, we didn't realize how handy it was to have places to stow things securely and hang onto until we saw that not all boats have them at all), and other stuff. Currently winterized and cradled in quality marina on Frog Mortar Creek in Bowleys Quarters, MD on the northern Chesapeake, near Baltimore. (Please note that the photo below was taken while the boat was in use, and it has since been PLACED IN BROKERAGE AND IS NOW CRADLED ON THE HARD.) It is ready to be de-winterized and launched. Or we would be happy to deliver it to your northern Chesapeake marina, delivery fee negotiable. Please call for further info. $6,900.00 or best offer. (703) 867-9576 or 703-938-3475. |
