| Pear Strudel Bread
1 loaf bread dough Dried pears, cut into strips, soaked in boiling water Brown sugar All spice butter flour Nuts, optional Roll out dough, cover with brown sugar and pear strips. Roll up, and place in bread pan. Let rise. Make a topping by cutting together butter, flour, allspice and more brown sugar. Sprinkle on top of dough. Bake at 375 for 20-30 min. I tend to bake it longer, because the pears add moisture to the bread. Don't let the topping burn! |
