Cut green beans
1/2 onion sliced thin (lengthwise, not in rings)
Just a tiny bit of water
Salt to taste

In pan put the green beans, sliced onion and water and cook over medium heat. Cover it and allow it to cook until the water begins to boil. Lower the heat down to low and simmer it for a few minutes longer. The beans should be done when you are able to pierce it with a fork, and the onions are translucent. Salt to taste.

VARIATION:  YOU CAN ADD BACON OR NEW POTATOES OR BOTH!
