FRUIT SYRUP

Mix 1 Tablespoon of arrowroot powder (or cornstarch) into 1 Cup of Pear Juice (or other fruit juice like pineapple). Optional: Add 1 tsp. of honey or sugar, if desired. Bring to a boil in pan on stove top, stirring until thickened. Or you may microwave on High for 1.5 minutes.
For a more "robust syrup": Here's an additional step: After the syrup is thickened according to directions above, add 2 to 4 medium pears, diced, plus 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon. Cook until fruit is tender.
Both versions are good served hot over pancakes.
