| SUGAR & MAPLE SYRUP 1 cup water 1 cup granulated sugar 1/4 cup pure maple syrup(more or less to taste) Combine water and sugar in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Allow the mixture to simmer for 10 minutes on low heat, but don't stir, as this can cause the sugar to crystalize. Pour the mixture into a large measuring cup or a jar and cool in the refrigerator. The consistency will be thin. (simmer longer for a thicker syrup). Add the maple syrup and stir. |
