BACK HOME
BASIC WHITE SAUCE

2 tbsp      Butter
2 tbsp      Flour
1/2 tsp     Salt
1/8 tsp     Pepper
1 C          Milk

Heat butter in 1-1/2 quart sauce pan over medium heat until melted.  Stir in flour, salt, and pepper.  Cook, stirring constantly until mixture is smooth and bubbly.  Remove from heat,  stir in milk.  Heat to boiling; stiring until bubbling for 1 minute.

Makes 1 C sauce.
