SOUR CREAM PASTRY

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup frozen butter, cut in 1-tablespoon pieces
3 tablespoons sour cream
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon salt

With metal blade in place, add all ingredients to food processor. Process, turning on and off, for 15 seconds (to get butter into small, roughly pea-size pieces). Then continue processing until ball of dough forms on blades. Dough should be somewhat soft. Wrap and chill until firm enough to roll out (I often skip this step without problems). Makes two 8 or 9-inch pastry shells.
