FUNNEL CAKES

1             Egg
2/3 C      Milk
1 tbsp     Honey
1-1/2 C   Whole wheat flour
3/4 tsp    Baking powder

Beat the egg; add the milk, honey.  Mix in the flour and baking powder.  Hold you finger over the bottom of a funnel and pour in batter.  Drop batter into hot deep fat at 375 degrees; swirling in a circle.  Make each cake about 3 inches in diameter.  Cook and turn  until brown.  Drain on paper towels.

Serve with molasses, powdered sugar or syrup.
