PLAY DOUGH
1 cup hot water
1 tbs vegetable oil
1/2 cup salt
1 tbs cream of tartar
Approved food coloring
Saucepan
1 cup flour

Combine water, oil, salt, cream of tartar, and food coloring in a saucepan and heat until warm. Remove from heat and add flour. Stir, then knead until smooth. The cream of tartar makes this dough long-lasting--up to six months or longer--so keep it stored in an airtight container or ziploc bag. Do not put in the fridge.

NOTE: I used a few shakes of Turmeric as the color and it turned the dough a bright yellow! Also, the hotter you get the water the hotter it is when you knead it, so unless you have asbestos for hands, don't get it too hot!
