| French Breakfast Muffins
1/2 C sugar 1 1/2 C flour 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. nutmeg 1/3 C melted butter 1 egg 1/2 c. milk For top: cinnamon sugar melted butter Mix all dry ingredients together in a bowl and make a "well" in the center. Add wet ingredients and mix until ingredients are moistened. Fill baking cups 1/2 to 2/3 full. Bake at 325 for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Immediatley dip tops of muffins in melted butter and then in cinnamon sugar. Yield: 10 muffins |
