| HOMEMADE ICECREAM 1/2 cup of milk 1TSP Sugar 1/4 tsp Vanilla extract Measure these 3 ingredients and put them into a small plastic sealable bag. Now seal, removing as much air as possible. We will call this bag #1. Now obtain a one gallon sealable plastic bag Add: 1/2 cup rock salt 2 cups of ice 1 cup water This will be bag #2 Put bag #1 inside of bag#2 and seal(making sure that it is tightly sealed and as much air as possible is removed). Shake bag consistantly for about 10 minutes. The ice cream should be semi solid by this time. Remove bag #1 from bag #2 carefully. Wipe outside of bag #1 to make sur ethat the salty liquid does not get into the ice cream. Now, open the bag, roll the sides down to make a bowl. All you need is a spoon. Enjoy!!! (For variations, add FG approved jelly/preserves, chocolate syrup, etc) I haven't tried this yet....not sure my dc are patient enough to shake for 10 minutes LOL If anyone tries it, let me know how it goes. |
