FROZEN YOGURT

Preperation:
1-16 ounce         Plain or vanilla yogurt ( make sure yogurt does not contain gelatin.)
*Vanilla yogurt makes a sweeter product.

Drain liquid; spoon into colander lined with layers of cheese cloth.  Place over bowl to catch liquid and place in refrigerator fo:
Low fat  yogurt   -    1-2 hours
nonfat yogurt     -     30 minutes
* Or drain overnight for a thicker, and creamier product

Spoon into ice cube trays and freeze.  These can be kept in an airtight container if not used immediately.

Final Steps for yogurt:

Place cubes in processor and flavor as follows:

Banana/Ginger                     -   1 medium banana - 1/4 tsp ginger
Coconut                                 -   2 tbsp flaked coconut
Kiwi/ Banana                        -   2 Kiwi peeled, chopped - 1/4 banana sliced
Lemon                                    -   2 tbsp lemon juice
Key Lime                               -   4 tbsp key lime juice - 2-3tsp maple syrup
Melon                                    -    1 C watermelon or canteloup  cubed, seeded
Peanut Butter                       -    1 tbsp peanut butter
Peanut Butter/ Banana        -   1/2 banana  - 1 tbsp peanut butter
Pineapple                              -    1/2 C crushed pineapple, drained
Praline                                   -    2-3 tsp maple syrup - 1/4 C chopped nuts, processed

If mixture becomes soft; freeze before serving.
