| RHUBARB COBBLER 1/2 C sugar 1TBSP cornstarch 4 C rhubarb 1 tsp. lemon juice(you can use water) 3 TBSP shortening 1 C flour 1 TBSP sugar 1-1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 C milk Heat oven to 350. In a saucepan mix sugar, cornstarch; add rhubarb, water and heat until boiling; stir for 1 min. Pour into greased 2 quart casserole dish.. 8 x 8 x 2 inch pan. Place flour,sugar,baking powder in bowl; cut shortening into dry; add milk and pour over rhubarb. Bake for 15-20 min. |
