Soft Batch Choc. Chip Cookies  

This is a copycat recipe of the Keebler Soft Batch cookies :0)

1 lb. butter, softened
2 eggs
2 T. molasses
2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/3 c. water
1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
1 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp.
1 tsp. salt
5 c. all-purpose flour
1 1/2 twelve-ounce pkg. semisweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Cream the butter, eggs, molasses, vanilla and water in a medium-size bowl.
In a large bowl, sift together the sugars, baking powder, baking sofa, salt and flour.
Combine the moist mixture with the dry mixture. Add the chocolate chips. Shape the dough into 1-inch balls, and place them 1 inch apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake for 8 minutes, or until light brown around edges.

Makes 4 dozen cookies.
