SNICKERDOODLE  (soft)

1 C        Butter
1-1/2 C  Sugar
2             Eggs
2-3/4 C   Flour
4 tsp        Baking powder
1/4 tsp     Salt
small bowl of sugar

Cream butter, sugar, and eggs with electic mixer.  Sift in dry ingredients and mix well.   Roll walnut sized balls.
Place each ball into bowl of sugar and put on greased baking sheet sugar side up.  Bake at 375 for 8-10 minutes.

VARIATIONS:
CHOCOLATE SNICKERDOODLE
Add 2 tsp of cocoa

CORNISH MALTING
Replace the bowl of sugar with a bowl of crumbled cornflakes

PIZZA
Omit bowl of sugar.  Press into pizza pan.  Bake at 375 for 8 minutes.  After cool top with mixture of cream cheese and 1/2 C sugar.  Spread onto pizza and add favorite fruits to topping.
