| COCOA MERINGUE 3 egg whites 1 tsp vanilla 1/4 tsp cream of tartar dash salt 3/4-1 cup granulated sugar (depending on the demands of your sweet tooth!) 3-4 tbsp powdered cocoa (or more if you like) 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (if desired-of course, you sort of cancel out the whole "low fat" thing if you add them!) Beat whites, vanilla, cream of tartar, and salt until soft peaks form. Slowly add granulated sugar and beat mixture, gradually adding cocoa as meringue becomes stiff. Fold in chocolate chips & drop by tablespoon on ungreased sheet. Bake at 375 for 30 minutes. Immediately remove cookies to rack. |
