| BANANA CHOCOLATE CHIP OATMEAL COOKIES 3/4 C Shortening 1 C Sugar 1 Egg 1-1/2 C Flour 1/2 tsp Baking soda 1 tsp Salt 1/4 tsp Nutmeg 3/4 tsp Cinnamon 1/2 C Chocolate chips 1 Smashed banana (Riper bananas make moisture cookies) 1-3/4 C Oats Crean shortening, sugar, and egg. In a seperate bowl sift all dry ingredients together accept banana, and oatmeal. Add dry to wet; fold in banana and oatmeal. Drop by spoonfuls onto baking dish. Bake for 10 minutes at 400. Note: You can use whole wheat flour and Sweet Balance natural sweetener. If you are using all whole wheat flour; smash cookie down with a fork like peanut butter cookies. |
