1 C         Sugar
1 C         Water, hot

Heat sugar on medium in a heavy saucepan.  Cook until sugar is smokey color.  Remove from heat and cool.  Add water drop by drop being careful as hot sugar and be very explosive in nature.  After water is added heat over low heat until mixture is a dark color.  Store in airtight container or shelf.  Sugar looses sweetness in intense heat and makes this product just like kitchen bouquet.
