| DIRT CAKE Plastic Bucket or Flower Pot with 5 quart capacity (If using clay pot: sterilzed in oven at 350 for 3-1/2 hours with NO glazing) Plastic shovel Platic flowers (optional) Plant Harmony gummy worms ~ stage 2 Morning Before: CHOCOLATE PUDDING 3-1/3C White sugar 1-3 C +1tsp,1tbsp Cornstarch 3/4 tsp Salt 4-3/4C Milk 7-oz Unsweetened chocolate, chopped 7 Egg yolks 1/3C+1tbsp, 1tsp Butter 2tbsp+3/4tsp Vanilla In a medium saucpan over medium heat combine sugar, cornstarch, and salt; add milk and chocolate. Cook stirring constantly until chocolate melts and mixture thickens. Remove from heat; stir in egg yolks. Return to heat and cook for 2 minutes more. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and butter. Chill before serving. Evening Before: SWEETENED WHIPPING CREAM 3 C Heavy whipping cream 1-1/2 tsp Vanilla 6 tbsp Powdered sugar Whip cream with electic mixer until soft peaks form; 2-4 minutes. Add sugar and vanilla and mix for 2-3 minutes or until soft peaks form; use immediatley. ASSEMLE DIRT CAKE 16 ounces Oreo type cookie 12 ounces Cream cheese, room temperature 6 tbsp Unsalted butter, room temperature Cooled chocolate pudding Whipping cream 1-If using clay pot place one cookie over hole. Process remaining cookies until look like dirt. 2- In a large bowl combine cream cheese and butter; set aside. Fold pudding into cream cheese mixture; fold in whipping cream next. 3- In pot alternate crumbled cookies with pudding mixture. Garnish on top with worms and shovle. Chill at least 4 hours or overnight before serving. |
