| LIZ'S CHOCOLATE CAKE 1 stick Butter 1/2 C Oil 1 C Water 1/4 C Cocoa 2 Eggs 1/2 C Buttermilk 1 tsp Vanilla 2 C Flour 2 C Sugar 1 tsp Cinnamon 1 tsp Baking soda 1 tsp Salt Bring oil, water and cooca to a boil; cool down for 10 minutes; add eggs, buttermilk and vanilla. In a large bowl combine flour, sugar, cinnamon, soda, and salt; add chocolate mixture and beat well. Pour into a oiled (not floured) 11 x 16 x 1 inch pan. Bake at 350 for 25 minutes. Ice as soon as cake is out of oven. LIZ'S CHOCOLATE CAKE ICING: 1 stick Butter 6 tbps Milk 1/4 C Cocoa 1# Powdered sugar 1 C Nuts (optional) About 5 minutes before cake is done bring butter, milk and cocoa to boil in a 2-quart saucepan. Reduce heat to low; add sugar and nuts and beat until smooth. |
