HAM & SCALLOPED POTATOES

6-8  slices          Ham
1 C                     Shredded American or Cheddar cheese
8-10  medium    Potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
1 C                      Water
1/2 C                  Celery, chopped
2                         Onions, thinly sliced
1/4 C                  Onion, chopped
1/2 tsp                Salt
1/4 C                  Water
1-1/2 tbsp           Cornstarch
1/2 tsp                 Creme of tarter
dash                    Black pepper

Toss potatoes with cream of tarter and 1 C water; drain.  In a medium bowl place 1/4 C water; stir in cornstarch.  Add celery and onion.  Place 1/2 of ham, potatoes, onoins in crock pot; sprinkle with salt and pepper and grated cheese.  Repeat and cook on LOW  - 8-10 hours or HIGH - 4 hours.
