You will need the following:
1 bag of Ghirahdelli semi-sweet chocolate chips(you can use milk also if you like)Or 1 bag of Ghirahdelli white chocolate chips
*optional:1-2 teaspoons of crisco shortening(you don't have to use it but I find it makes the chocolate creamier)
Some sucker molds (you can get them most anywhere at stores like Wal-Mart)
Sucker sticks(you can also get these at the same stores as your molds.
Sucker wrappers(also at Wal-Mart)
When you melt your chocolate you can use a double broiler on the stove or in a bowl in the microwave. I bought one of those Whilton Squeeze bottles that you just dump the chips in and put in the microwave. It is a lot easier in the long run when transferring to the molds. I just zap it a minute at a time and stir with a knife so it doesn't burn. When it is melted I add a little crisco until it is creamy. I pour in the molds and add a sucker stick and put in the refrigerator for 1/2 hour and then they pop right out. I buy those sucker wrappers for .99.
You can get those anyplace the molds are also. You can use the chocolate or white chocolate or even get creative and use both. These are a wonderful treat and kids love them. Enjoy!!!
