| CADBURY CREAM EGGS 1/2 C Light corn syrup 1/4 C Butter, softened 1 tsp Vanilla 1/4 tsp Salt 3 C Powdered sugar 4 drops Natural Yellow Food Coloring 4 drops Natural Pink Food Coloring 1-12 oz bag Milk Chocolate Chips 1 tbsp Shortening Combine corn syrup, butter, vanilla, and salt in large bowl. Beat with a mixer until smooth. Add powdered sugar 1 cup at a time;mixing by hand until smooth. Remove about 1/3 of mixture into small bowl and add food coloring. Cover and refrigerate both mixture for at least 2 hours or until firm. Take a small amount of orange filling and roll into a ball; wrap the white filling around and shap into an egg. Place ona greased baking sheet. Repeat until all are done. Place chocolate and shortening in a medium microwave safe bowl. Cook on high heat until melted; stirring until smooth. Dunk eggs into chocolate and set on waxed paper; chill in refrigerator for at least 1-2 hours. Repeat dunking in chocolate. Store in airtight container seperating candy with layers of wax paper. Makes around 2 dozen candies. |
