SKILLET BREAD

4 cup flour
2 tbs baking powder
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp cream of tartar
2 tbs sugar
3/4 c powdered milk
1 cup vegetable shortening
1 tbs. cinnamon & raisins (optional

cut in shortening until fine meal texture. Can be stored in cool place as long as desired, don't have to use all at once. Place mix into a plastic bag, add water to make thick dough, squeeze to mix. Pat dough out in a frying pan which has been lightly greased. Pat to 1" thickness, fry 8 to 10 minutes on each side over low heat.

Same mix can be used for pancakes or muffins by adding 1 egg per cup of mix and varying the amounts of water. Be creative with nuts,fruits, cheese, carrots, etc. in the pancakes or muffins.

Don't ask how much water, I have typed the receipe as it was given to me, and the answer was "Enough!" the cook is in her late 80's.
