Tostados
3 C Flour
5 tsp Baking powder
1-1/4 C Milk
Mix together and let set covered in a warm place for 1 hour.
Filling - About 30 minutes before dough is ready; cook filling.
1 # Ground beef
1 Batch Taco mix
2 Garlic cloves, minced
3/4 C Water
1 can Refried beans ( or homemade)
In a skillet brown hamburger; drain. Heat hamburger and add garlic, taco mix, water, and beans. Cook until hot.
Roll flour into 6 balls. Flour hard surface and roll each into a 7-inch circle. Place in skillet with hot oil Cook on each side until brown. Tostados will puff up. Drain.
Toppings
Lettuce, shredded
Tomatoes, cut up (stage 2)
Carrot, shredded
Cheese, shredded
Now to make your tostado. Spread meat mixture onto tostado and add your favorite topping
