EASY CHEWY GRANOLA BARS
2/3 cup peanut butter
1 3/4 cups simple syrup* (recipe in FG binder)
3 cups old fashioned oats
1 cup flour
1/3 cup wheat germ
Optional: chocolate chips, coconut, nuts or other add-ins.

Stir together peanut butter and simple syrup. Add other ingredients and stir until moistened. Press into 8" or 9" square pan.

Bake 14-16 minutes at 325 degrees. NOTE: I bake these in a stonewear pan. The cooking time may need to be adjusted if using a metal or glass pan.

When cool, cut into bars and wrap in plastic wrap.

* You can adjust the amount of simple syrup you add based on how sweet and/or chewy you want the bars to be. Also, if you use more than one add-in, you might want to use slightly more simple syrup.
