HONEY FRUIT GRANOLA BAR

1/3 C + 2 tbsp        Honey
1/2 C                      Butter
1/2 C                      Sugar
1/8 tsp                    Cinnamon
5 oz                        Dried Stage 1  fruit, chopped
3 C                         Grainfields rice cereal
2-1/2 C                   Quaker oats
1/2 C                       Chopped nuts

Combine first 4 ingredients in a sauce pan and heat to medium /low heat until it comes to boil.  Boil for 1 minute and then take off heat.  Add remaining  ingredients and stir. Press into an oiled jelly roll pan.  Use wax paper between your fingers and the granola.   Cool in refrigerator for 1 hour and cut into bars.  Wrap in plastic wrap

Note:  The sugar hone ratio is tricky.  Too much honey makes them too sticky. Too much sugar makes them hard on the teeth.  You may have to adjust recipe for your area and humidity.

VARIATION:  Stage 2 ~  Use dried cranberries ~
