Software for the Airborne Stand-off Radar (ASTOR) system to fight the new urban wars of the 21st century is to be developed in Derry, Northern Ireland.
The software will be developed by Raytheon Systems Limited for the UK Ministry of Defence, at an industrial estate in Pennyburn. The industrial estate is less than five miles from Derry's Guildhall, where the UK Ministry of Defence is effectively on trial at the Bloody Sunday Inquiry for the State-sanctioned murder of Derry workers.
