Outside of the major hold of the Fort region is a small cothold, Mountain Grass Hold, dedicated to the breeding and raising of quality runners. Three familys make up the small, close-knit community, headed by Thranson and his wife Ribina. Thranson is a quiet man, quickly getting on in years. He may be pushed around by his wife and generous to a fault, but when it comes to runner, there are few who know more than he does. Ribina is the complete opposite. Her world if full of strict business, a storm of chores and child-rearing, for Thranson and Ribina have ten children together. The sixth child is Bronwynn.
Bronwynn, it was assumed, would settle into the life of her mother and sisters before her. She was expected to help with the hold chores and to look after any children younger than herself, but from early on, Brynn found herself spending more time in the stables with the men than in the hold with the women. She spent endless candlemarks with her brothers and father, learning all they knew about runners. The only woman in the hold that she was close to was her sister, Grissa, who had the same gentle and easy temperment of their father. Grissa was more the model child than Bronwynn, she not only spent her time in cleaning and childcare, but she actually seemed to enjoy it. Often, it was Grissa who rescued Brynn from their mother's rage when another chore had been left undone due to Bronwynn's time in the stables. When the day came that Grissa left Mountain Grass Hold, Brynn knew she couldn't stay much longer. When the hold got word of Grissa's settling in Ista Weyr, Bronwynn decided to follow. Yet being a girl of thirteen, she was obligated to have an escort. She waited a few months until her uncle and cousin were heading towards Fort Weyr and joined them with the intention of continuing towards the coast and taking a ship to Ista Island. While Bronwynn spent only a few weeks at Fort Weyr, it was a very important time in her young life. She had often seen the great dragons from afar when attending the gathers of the major hold near Mountain Grass, but actually seeing them around was entirely different, and much better in Brynn's eyes. She was immediately fascinated by their personalities and the intricacies of the rider-dragon relationship. But meeting dragons was far less fascinating than meeting Reyn, a young Igenite with staying with his sister, brown Qwenarth's rider, Rylle. Bronwynn immediately fell for Reyn's bland curls and the two began an innocent romance. But their young love was cut short as Brynn was pressed to continue her journey to Ista. After a painful parting, she left Fort Weyr.

Bronwynn spend only a few days at Ista Weyr, though it was long enough for her to decide that the tropical island is far too warm and humid for her taste. She spent many of the daylight hours soaking the quite pools on the plateau. It was on one of these occasions, when she was swimming with Istan bronzerider, G'har, that a Telgari weyrling class appeared overhead, mastering the process of going between. The settled down on Ista's beach for a breif rest and G'har headed over to greet them. Brynn's curiousity urged her to tag along. She found herself a large rock on the beach and settled in to watch the dragons. Tierth, small green lifemate to Telgar's Weyrlingmast, Maylia, took special interest in the young Bronwynn, sniffing and wuffling and generally making quite a fuss over her. Before Brynn could brush the sand off from all of Tierth's blowing, she was being asked to stand for Herath and Talibenth's clutch. Her barely had a chance to realize what was going on before her mouth replied yes.

When Bronwynn arrived at Telgar, she found the climate to immediately suit her. No tropical heat and glaring sun, just the cool clear mountain air. While the region felt comfortable, Brynn was higly anxious about her knew surroundings. She had never felt nervous around new people before and not understanding why she was so distressed made her even more upset. But her anxiety only lasted a sevenday when a person from her past walked into the barracks. Reyn, whom she'd left at Fort Weyr, had been searched. After the initial shock, they two quickly fell into their old relationship, though it was confined to an excessive amount of giggling and flirting. With Reyn with her, Bronwynn felt much more at ease and began to make friends of her fellow candidates, namely Rillanon, Leigh and Syrali. She finally began to settle into her new life... until the eggs started to crack.

Brynn was absolutely horrified when she stepped onto the sands. Egg touchings were one thing, but to have dragonets sniffing about was another. She stood tense and terrified, watching classmates meet their lifemates and head towards the barracks. Eggs cracked and dragonets of all colors emerged. Brynn stood wide-eyed as a large brown approached her, but when a warm voice spoke to her, it felt as if she'd been waiting her entire life to hear that sound and suddenly the name Fehuth, a word she had never known before, rolled off her tongue as though it were the only word she had ever spoken.

Herath & Talibenth at Telgar Weyr
Weyrlinghood went well for Bronwynn and Fehuth. Though the new brownrider remained closed to those in her weyrling class, she was entirely devoted to her lifemate and their lessons. Even R'yn, who had also impressed, was virtually forgotten. Aurian, rider of brown Kvasith, was appointed Brynn's mentor and the two often spent time together discussing the events that laid in Bronwynn's future. As weyrlinghood came to a close, Aurian tapped Brynn for the Dawnslight wing. Her clutchmates, R'yn and Daffela were also chosen for the Dawnslight Wing and for the first time since candidacy, Bronwynn noticed those blond curls once more. Since then, Bronwynn's life has been pretty much uneventful. She and R'yn moved in together soon after graduation and Brynn spends her free moments with either her weyrmate or her sister Grissa and her two children Sadren and Griere. In the past years, Bronwynn has been the proud, if somewhat absent mentor to both M'dei, rider of Timeless Emerald Web Green Gaiath and M'teh, rider of Galvanic Glacier-Reflection Blue Daruth.
