First, there's my roomate Raven. She's 18 and she works as a stripper at Deja-Vu by night. She gets drunk and shoots heroin with her boyfriend by day.
My other roomate, Raye, is 15, like me. She hasn't spoken a word ever since she witnessed her parents' murders two years ago. She dropped out of school last year and works as a prostitute in Tijuana, Mexico. She goes to TJ almost every night to offer her services, except for the days when she gets beaten by her pimp. Let's call <i>him</i> Sugar Daddy. I'm usualy the one to comfort Raye when she comes home crying and bruised at three o'clock in the morning.
As for me, I was abandoned by my mother when I was 11. Raven found me on the streets and took me in as her roomate. That was before her heroin addiction. She's never really around these days.
I work in the 7-Eleven by my apartment building, for an old guy named Sam who looks like Hitler. He doesn't talk to me much, but he sure does stare at me a lot. Especialy at my ass. He's an old pervert.
