| Unfortunately, i'm not in possesion of any TV guides apart from English and so i can only pick highlights for English TV and Digital tele. If you would like to review any TV out of England, then email me and i will arrange for you to write a review or regular reviews on your TV: ***HIGHLIGHT OF MY WEEK*** Malcolm In The Middle (Fridays BBC2 7.10pm) This programme has to be one of the best American comedy series on our TVs. Especially now Friends has gone and we're down to daily repeats. Malcom In The Middle is about a family of four boys and their parents. You've got Francis, who is also off on some adventure. Reese who i used to fancy like mad (yes - used to *past tense*) who is the troublemaker. Malcolm the "genius". And Duey (how do you spell it??) the baby of the group who could get out of anything. Add a bad-tempered mother and an almost insane father and you've got the most hilarious family on the box. FILM OF THE WEEK: Twister (Tuesday ITV1 8pm) This is an original film which was made in 1996. It stars Bill Paxton and Helen Hunt as part of a tornado team, who are determined to get inside the core of a tornado in order to test a life-saving device. Unfortunately, another team also wants to steal the glory and so it becomes a race to complete the task first, but with extreme weather, like tornadoes, you cannot expect it to be that straight forward. I'd say this film is worth a look, but don't go out of your way to watch it. AND ALSO THIS WEEK: MONDAY: Coronation Street (ITV1 7.30/8.30pm) Monday Nights mean a double helping of our favourite soap. And tonight there's a great story as it involves our favourite character, Chesney! TUESDAY: That'll Teach 'Em (Channel 4 9pm) Try to teach modern teens how to behave like their 1960's replicas. Hilarious Results! WEDNESDAY: My Parents Are Aliens (ITV1 4.30pm) This is one of my favourite CITV programmes, parents = aliens, its what we always thought anyway! THURSDAY: What Am I Like? Personality Test (BBC1 8pm) You can sit at home and take this test along with 100 people live in the studio to find out what you're really like FRIDAY: Green Wing (Channel 4 9.30pm) This is channel 4's latest comedy-drama set in a hospital. Heat have called it "one of the oddest yet most enjoyable comedies". ***RENT IT*** Scooby Doo 2. I am undecided on whether i prefer the first or second Scooby film, as they both have different storylines. There's the classic moment in the second one where Scooby and Shaggy dress up as 70's dancers and boogie! Its so funny and modern, and yet both films still have that old cartoon storyline around them involving ghosts and the "meddling kids". ***FIND IT*** Shrek! The first one. You've got to find it and watch it again. It really makes you appreciate the second one. Like Scooby Doo, i think that both the first and second are brilliant, and i hope there will be a Shrek 3. The only thing i'm worried about is a Shrek Series being made and shown on television. It would completely lose its humour and originality. The storylines would become restricted and most of the gags used up. Please don't do it! |
