I woke up in the middle of the night; I looked at the clock to see what time it was! The time was 3:53 am, I tried to go back to sleep but I couldn't, not after what happened a few hours ago. So, I got out of the bed quietly, went to the sitting room and lied down on the couch thinking about what happened and everything. I glanced at my mobile on the coffee table; there were text messages from Katy and Lee. Lee's message had said, "Sorry about what happened tonight." I sent back a message saying, "Not good enough, Lee. Thanks to you � my head is a mess." Lee texted back a few minutes later, "I'm so sorry. What can I do to put things right with you? I messed up big time with Katy." I texted back one last time, "Nothing, you should have done what you were told by me but you didn't. Don't bother texting back." I couldn't text Katy as I didn't know what to say in the message, so I didn't. Eventually, I drifted off to sleep until something was blazing in my face. It was almost half eight when I looked at the time, I got off the couch quickly as I was working in an hour. I went to the bedroom to get dressed; Duncan was already in the shower. I made my way out of the bedroom just as Duncan was coming out of the bathroom practically naked! *shocked* I stopped in my tracks, looking up and down at Duncan and then I walked past him, not saying a word. I grabbed a bowl of cereal, when Duncan came in after me, this time he covered himself up. "Catherine, please talk to me." "What's there to say?" "I don't know; anything." "Well, I can't think of anything to say. Will you get dressed now as I need to go to work in a few minutes?" "Fine, Cat." sulkily walking back to the bedroom to get dressed. I went to the bathroom to freshen up and was out the door ten minutes later. The atmosphere between us in the car was tense and quiet. We arrived outside Innocent Records, Duncan leaned in to give me a kiss but I ducked him by getting out of the car saying "Thanks for the lift."
Emma and Stacey were already in before me; I shook hands with Emma and talked for a few minutes before we dived into work. Stacey then asked me did I enjoy my evening at my friend's house. I said "Don't ask. I don't want to talk about it." "Oh, I didn't mean to��" "Look, its okay. You didn't know." Anyway, I got to work sorting incoming and outgoing mail in the office; I had to post the outgoing mail. Stacey and Emma were busy answering the phones and taking messages. A short time later, I came back from the post office, there was 2 huge bunches of flowers sitting on the reception desk. "Where did these flowers come from?" Emma turned around and said "Cat, you back. The flowers are for you. They were delivered to here for you while you were out." I started laughing, "Me, you must be joking?" but I realised Emma was serious, my face dropped. I looked at the cards attached with the flowers; they were from Duncan and Lee. Duncan's message said, "I just want to say I love you. Love always and forever, Duncan xxxx." Tears were running down my face. I looked at Lee's card, "Like I said, I'm really sorry. Forgive me, please? Lee xx." I started to cry! "What's the matter, Cat?" Stacey asked. "I don't know, Stacey. Duncan wrote on his card that he loves me." "OMG, the two bunches of flowers are from him." "No, they are from Dunk and Lee." Stacey was surprised about Lee, "What's Lee got to with it?" I sighed, "I tell you at lunch." I got back to work until it was time for lunch, so Stacey, Emma and I went out for lunch. I explained what happened last night to them during lunch. I texted Duncan saying "Thanks for the flowers. Cat x" Duncan text back saying, "I meant what I wrote on the card. I love you. Duncan x" "Okay, we talk soon when you pick me up from work this evening. By the way, have you spoken to Lee since? I got flowers from him as an apology. I'm heading back to work now with the girls." I sent a text to Katy to see if she was all right and that I was sorry about last night. I just arrived at work when Duncan text back once again, "Yeah, I'm talking to him. He told me that he had sent flowers to you and to Katy too. He's really sorry, Cat. Look forward to seeing you laters babe! *;o)" I thought for a few minutes, and decided to accept Lee's apology, so I sent him a text to put him out of his misery saying, "You forgiven, but not forgotten. Just don't' do it ever again." After that, I went to start on work, as it was going to be a busy evening with plenty of meetings! At the end of the day, I was glad to see the day was over! Duncan came in to help me put the flowers into the car! *rolls eyes* I said goodbyes to Emma and Stacey, and that I will see them tomorrow. I was desperate to get home and put my feet up, I was aching all over! We got home; I plonked myself on the couch while Duncan fixed up something to eat for the two of us. I rang Katy to see how she was as she never texted back. She was alright as Lee was there. She gave him a second chance to start again. I was happy as long Lee behaves himself, but it was unlikely to happen! *laughs* We talked for another 20 minutes as Duncan was back with our food. While we were eating, I suddenly thought of Sarz. I grabbed my mobile and dialled her number. She took her time to answer the call. I almost choked on my food when she told me that she was in Sligo with Mark, she met his family!! Duncan was looking at me strangely which made me laugh! I spoke to Mark for a couple of minutes and then they had to go as they were going out for a meal! I stayed up watching telly while Duncan massaged my feet! I don't know what happened next as I fell asleep. I could feel someone was carrying me but I stayed asleep�
Chapter 20
In the last two weeks, I was busy as ever at work while Duncan was rehearsing with Blue for their 'Guilty' Tour which was starting on Monday at Wembly. I had hardly spent any time alone with Duncan with work and the band. The only times we got together was at weekends which we spent all our time at home catching up. *winks*
We also went out clubbing with our mates which always ended up as mad drunken nights! Sarz and Mark were still very much in love, I think in my mind that she found her Mr. Right! Since then, she gave up college to be closer to Mark as their fashion stylist. At least she gonna see the world with her man Marky! They make me smile when I see them together happily! Katy and Lee were back on track, unfortunately Lee still get himself being in the papers for something! *rolls eyes* It makes me made that the papers are slagging him off and everything, he is just an human being enjoying his life to the full! The rest of the boys were still going out with their girlfriends, though Simon had since then a new girlfriend called Jackie! Although, I still kept in touch with Andrea as she was a great mate! I had many girlie nights in with my work colleagues and as well as mates too, Stacey and Emma! Katy and Sarz stayed with me for a couple of nights also while Duncan was away with the band! We had lots of catching up of gossip together which was fun!! I found out that Stacey and Emma had moved to London from Scotland and Dublin separately when they applied for receptionists at Innocent Records!! They had been living in London for a year now!
