| Chapter 60
*** Three Months Later *** Kian had a month break from the band, so we spent a week in Sligo at our house; it was originally Kians house before I came along and another week in Kerry. Whilst in Sligo, we turned one of the bedrooms into a nursery, so whenever we are in Sligo after the baby is born, everything will be already done! We had fun all week shopping for things for the nursery. We had loads of laughs messing around with paint, running after each other. We painted the nursery yellow as we wanted it to be a surprise when I push our baby into the world, not knowing is it a boy or girl! We did a great job; we pasted Winnie the Pooh borders around the room. I had gotten big since I had my last scan, we had another scan just before we went home to Ireland and everything was going smoothly. Kian is looking forward to fatherhood; he hadnt stopped talking about it or fussing over me to take it easy. I had left my job at Innocent Records to concentrate on my pregnancy after last time. I had agreed to go back and work 3 days a week 2 months after the birth. We held a couple of dinner evening with some of Kians brothers and sisters. Obviously, we had stayed in a few nights watching DVDs and eating ice-cream with Kian feeding me since I have a craving for ice-cream at the moment! After our week in Sligo, we went to Dublin for the weekend as we were going to the All-Ireland Football Final in which Kerry; my native home county is playing. It was hard trying to get hold of the tickets as they were like gold dust. Luckily, Nickys father-in-law managed to get a couple of tickets for us, on the same stand as him. The two of us stayed at Nicky and Georginas house which is a stunning place, it even has a bar. So Nicky and Kian had a good few drinks while Georgina and I caught up on the gossip and we even shopped till we dropped in town the day before the big game! The lads couldnt get over with the amount of stuff we bought! *laughs* *** Day of the Big Game at Croke Park *** It was a great day for Kerry as we had won the final by 8 points! We won the Sam Maguire for the record 33rd time, which proves that Kerry is the most successful county in the whole of Ireland. Afterall, Kerry is famous for their devotion of football. It sent shivers to my back seeing my fellow Kerry people on the pitch wearing their county colours and waving their flags. Kian and I were lucky to be sitting at a good place where the cup was given to the captain. While watching the game, the baby kicked and it was even that Kian felt it at the same time as he had his arms around me with his hand on my bump protecting it. Oh my god, did you feel that Kian? Kian broke into a huge smile, I did, and it was a wonderful feeling Yes, it is and it looks like our baby will be supporting Kerry instead of Sligo giggling. You must be joking, darling. He/She will support Sligo, gazing into my eyes. You sound pretty sure of that! not realising Kerry had just scored a goal! *laughs* Oh yea, Im sure alright But our child mightnt support Kerry or Sligo! Good point, they wont be caught up in the slagging between us in the games Kian, its years and years since we played against Sligo or havent we? I dont know, we will have to find that out later Hehe I love you Love you too just as the baby gave another kick. Ouch, that was a mighty kick You okay? asked Kian tenderly rubbing my bump. Yea, I be fine as long the baby keeps up the kicking Only 3 months to go now babe, and we be proud parents then You better be there for the birth Dont worry, I will be there for you. After the game, we went to the hotel where the Kerry team were staying to welcome the cup and of course the team too. Kians appearance at the hotel caused a stir among the crowd looking for autographs and a photo with him. As the Kerry team arrived, we congratulated them on the win and their performance. We stayed at the hotel for another while celebrating the win. So, we headed back to Nicky and Georginas house. When we got there, they congratulated me on the win! We talked for a while until I was getting sleepy. So I said goodnight to them as the long day took out a lot of me. I changed into my nightdress; I had just gotten into bed when Kian came in. Hey, you okay? Yea, shattered after the long day Me too, I had a great day. Thank you as Kian undressed himself only wearing his boxers and got into bed besides me. Goodnight, Kian Sweet Dreams, sweetheart resting my head on his naked chest as he wrapped his arms around me. We nodded off to sleep moments later. Chapter 61 *** The Following Day *** I woke up early, I turned around to see Kian but he wasnt there. Then I heard the sound of running water in the bathroom, so I snuck into the shower giving him a fright. Morning babe Morning sweetheart, sleep alright? Yes, I did kissing him on the kiss. So. So what? laughing. This pulling me close to his wet body. The shower was getting steamy with passionate kisses and pinching asses! *laughs* Afterwards, we both got dressed and went downstairs to the kitchen for breakfast. Nicky and Georgina were already eating their breakfast. Good Morningg Hey, how are ye today? Great, thanks Glad to hear it. We chatted for a while about things. After breakfast, Georgina and I went for a stroll with Keano as it was a lovely morning. We had a good giggle about our husbands about their good and bad habits! When we got back to the house, Kian and Nicky were having a serious conversation that they never heard us come back! We back, so what are you two talking about? Hey babe, nothing important slipping his arms around my waist. Oh right rolling my eyes. Anyways, I think we better get ourselves ready for later on Gosh, we better. We dont wanna miss the flight. So we went upstairs to pack our stuff and then head off for the airport. Nicky had offered to drive us there. So, I hugged Georgina goodbye and thanked her for a wicked weekend! A couple of hours later, we were on the plane heading for Kerry. There was a great atmosphere on the plane because it was mainly Kerry supporters heading home after the game! Suddenly, Kian put some papers on my lap. I looked at Kian, Whats this? Look at it and you shall see smiling. So I looked at them and discovered it was property stuff. Kian, whats going on? What do you say we buy a house in Kerry of course, so we can spend our holidays here? I looked at him in a state of shock, Are you for real? Yea, I am. I mean we dont want to take up the space at your parents house. No offence but we want privacy of our own, dont you think? I smiled, I couldnt agree more with you on that but are you really sure about this? Yes, Catherine. Youre my wife Im going to spend the rest of my life Aww, then lets do it taking his hand. For the rest of the flight, a lot of people came up to us looking for autographs and photos. They were so nice to us wishing us the best of luck with everything. Eventually, we touched down at Kerry Airport. We grabbed our luggage and keys to our car we hired for the week at the reception desk. We got home to my parents house half hour later. It was lovely to see my family, the last time we saw them was at our wedding which was just over 6 months ago! We talked all evening until Kian and I were going into town taking my mom to welcome the Kerry team arriving at the train station. There was so many people there when we arrived there, we had parked in a car park just outside the town and walked to the train station. It was completely deafening that we couldnt hear each other saying something. The team got on the bus taking them down to the centre of the town. People were saying it was estimated 20,000 people lined out the streets of Tralee and another 20, 000 in another town where the team were going to after Tralee. The atmosphere was amazing! Kian was very protective of me walking along the streets and of course my mom too. While the captain and the manager of the Kerry team were speaking, they burst out saying that there was a member of Westlife somewhere in the crowd. The next thing people were looking around them, but couldnt see him besides me cause he was disguised wearing a baseball cap and my jersey! It was a funny moment for us! Anyway, they were leaving for Killarney, so the three of us went home. After we got home, we went to the local pub for a while. It was great to bump into some cousins of mine who was there as well. I told my mom and dad that Kian and I were going looking at houses properties the following day. It was after midnight we all went home. I went to bed while Kian stayed up talking to my brother. I was still awake reading a book when Kian came in. So Kian got undressed and we chatted for a while talking about houses. We decided to go for a house thats overlooking views of the sea and beaches. Chapter 62 *** A Few Weeks Later *** Im here at Duncan and Staceys apartment; Ive been staying here for a few days while Kian is away with the band in Germany. Kian wouldnt let me stay at home on my own, in case anything happens seeing Im only a month away from giving birth to our child. Stacey was already gone to work when I got up, Duncan was around as he wasnt working today! I didnt sleep too great last night as I had aches all around my body so I was feeling miserable. It didnt help me much when Duncan said Good morning cheerfully and I just snapped at him for no reason. He didnt take offence of it when he realised I wasnt in a good mood after a sleepless night! You okay? Didnt sleep well but I be fine eating my cereal. Okay, what plans have you for today? Nothing much, probably will go for a walk later. You can come if you like? Yea, sure I come. It better than sitting in all day doing nothing Okay, we go later once I have a quick wash! Sure, theres no hurry. The days only just beginning. While having a wash in the bathroom, I suddenly felt a sharp pain in my stomach which made me grip onto the sink. I breathed in slow to ease the pain but got another pain shot through making me scream with pain. Duncannnnn starting to cry. Duncan came running just as my waters broke. OMG, is this it? Yes, I guess it is. Get me to the hospital now. I walked out to the car while Duncan went to the bedroom getting my bad I had already prepared just in case. Ring Kian, I want him now as he wasnt due back in London for another couple of days. Dunk managed to get through Kian along the way to the hospital and he rang his fiance Stacey at work letting her know what was happening. The pains were coming frequently. Dunk, Im scared Cat, dont worry. Kian is going to get the first flight back. Just hang in there and thats including the baby inside you. I cried in pain, I wish he wasnt fking working with the band, I dont want him missing the birth of his first child. I dont want to go through it without him. He wont, Im sure of it. Surely they can delay the labour, cant they? in confusion. Yea, they can. He better be here in time as we just rolled up outside the hospital. I was quickly rushed off to the delivery room leaving Duncan standing there in the corridor. I was given some stuff to try and delay the labour, which may give Kian some time to get here before the baby is born. Four hours later, my contractions were getting stronger so it wont be long before the baby is born and Kian still hasnt arrived. Duncan was with me in the room calming me down and so was Stacey. She came straight to the hospital from work, so I was grateful to her for being there. Then suddenly I screamed wiv pains, so it was nearly time. I was rushed off to be delivered. Just as they were whisking me off to the delivery room, Kian arrived. Kiannnnnn, thank god you here not letting go of his hand. Its okay now babe, Im here for you kissing my forehead. I love you Kian Love you too darling. We be proud parents very soon smiling despite the strong urges to push. I was screaming with pain, Kian looked like he was gonna pass out. Kian Egan, you better not pass out cause I dont want you missing the best moment I said in between pains. Kian was wiping the sweat from my forehead. Then the midwife was urging me to push one last time. I looked at him, I cant, crying. Catherine, you can do it brushing my hair away from my face. I breathed in and gave us a huge push until we heard the baby cries. I was so glad the ordeal was over. Then the midwife said, Congratulation both of us, its a healthy baby girl passing over our baby into my eyes. I looked down at her and smiled, Welcome to the world with tears rolling my face. We did it, we are a family now. Im so proud of you, Catherine, gazing at our beautiful daughter. Im so glad you got here in time and thanks for not passing out on me laughing. Kian kissed me, Thank you for being my wife and bringing our daughter into the word. The nurse took the baby to be cleaned and checked also. They brought me back to my room, I was absolutely shattered and in great pain after nearly 11 hours in labour. You best get some sleep darling Yea I mumbled nodding off to sleep. Kian left the room to tell the gang who was in the waiting room of the good news. Duncan and Stacey had gone home once Kian arrived at the hospital. So they had come back to the hospital again later in the day along with Lee, Katy and Sarz. |
