Chapter 96
"Patty? The new dancer?" I call out. Lee nods with a big smile.
"Dunk already told me about her. She's really funny, isn't it?" I ask. All the guys nod.
"You see! That's why Lee was all dressed up Friday! You had dance-rehearsals with her!" I remember.
"Come on, let's finish painting," Dunk says to Sy and Ant.
"Than you can tell the ladies all about Patty, we don't have to hear all the juicy details," Sy grins at Lee before they disappear upstairs.
"When do you have rehearsals with her again?" I immediately turn to Lee.
"Next Friday."
"You have to do it in the afternoon, than I'll sneak into the studios to see her," I grin.
He tells Tia and me all about her. He also met her last night at the party, and they had a really good time. She doesn't know that Lee's in love with her though!
Friday afternoon
I just arrived at the studios where the guys are having the dance rehearsals. I'm secretly watching them, only Ant has seen me. I see that Patty's Dunk's dancer, and she's really good! And to be honest, they look great together� it makes me so jealous!
The rehearsals are over and I step in to greet the guys. Right at that moment Dunk takes Patty by the hand.
"Come on, I need to tell you something," he smiles at her and the next second they've disappeared through a door, without noticing me.
I feel all the blood drain out of my face. What just happened here? Dunk took Patty with him for a private chat? This can't be true! When I tear my eyes away from the door I see that Lee's as white as snow too. He must be thinking the same as I am!
Sy comes rushing to me and grabs me so I don't fall down. I see Ant's eyes flashing from Lee to me and than he runs after Dunk and Patty as fast as he can.
"Come on, sit down," Sy says to me and leads me to a chair. "I didn't know you were here! Are you okay?" he asks me worried. "What's going on here?" he asks Lee, who sits down on the floor, when I don't answer him. Lee doesn't react, his face is buried in his hands.
"D-do Dunk and P-patty�?" I stutter.
"No! But I really don't know what�" Sy doesn't know how to finish his sentence. We hear a door open and all jump up. It's Ant, and he's grinning!
"You go in there Iris, and meet Patty!" he says to me. "Don't worry mate, he's not doing anything to or with our girl," he turns at Lee.
"Than what did they do?" Lee calls out.
"Can't tell you mate, can't tell you!" Ant laughs. "Go on Iris," he pushes me towards the door.
"Hey honey!" Dunk rushes to me immediately. "I didn't know you would come so early! Ant just told me you arrived!" he smiles happy and gives me a kiss on my cheek. I kiss him back and than curiously look past him.
"Hey Iris. I'm Patty," the girl shakes my hand.
"Yeah I already thought so. How do you know my name?"
"Who else could you be? The bump is hard to miss," she grins.
"Oh yeah. Right," I grin a bit stupid.
"She's always this clever on Friday," Dunk laughs and puts his arm around my shoulder.
"Sorry about that! I'm just tired, and hungry," I pout.
"I'll get you something to eat," he immediately offers.
"A sandwich please. A big one!"
Dunk leaves and I see that Patty's laughing.
"What?" I ask.
"Nothing. You two just seem like a couple," she answers. "Anyway� how many weeks are you now?" she points at my belly.
"Twenty-three. So what did Dunk just tell you?" I ask curious.
"He� he told me� something about Lee," she says hesitating. I start to smile badly.
"Oh you know about it," she reacts. "He told me Lee's in love with me!" she goes on, looking a bit surprised about it. "Do you think the same?" she asks me.
"Oh yes! He told me! What do you think of him?" I ask in return.
"I don't know yet."
"What do you mean?" I ask curious.
"I like him. A lot. But I don't know yet if I can handle it if I get involved with him," she shrugs.
"Take some time to think about it. Take all the time you need, as long as it doesn't take months," I grin.
"Look who's talking! You and Duncan are taking months!" she calls out. I start to blush badly.
"You know about it?"
"Yeah! Dunk and Lee can't stop talking during the breaks. And the favorite subject to talk about, is you!" she says with a cheeky grin.
"Guys," I shake my head smiling. "Let's go back to the others, before you make me blush again," I laugh.
"Make Lee blush instead!" We both burst out laughing and go back to the guys. I see them exchanging looks and giving fake sighs when they see us making jokes together. The other dancers have already left and when Dunk returns with my sandwich, it's just the guys, Patty and me.
