Chapter 106
CHAPTER 105

3 weeks later

I'm totally settled in in London now. In fact, it took me only 2 or 3 days to settle in, I've been here so many times before! And now that the novelty has worn off, I'm getting bored. Bored to death. I went from working 45 hours a week to zero. Everybody's working every day, so there's nobody to keep me company. The first couple of days I went shopping, but I shouldn't buy more maternity clothes, and we already have loads and loads of baby clothes. Everything is ready for their arrival.
So now every day I go for a walk in the park, do some grocery shopping, watch some tv, listen to some music, take a nap, chat a bit with friends who are at work, call my parents, every few days I visit Fiona Always the same little things to pass the time until Dunk comes home. I visited the guys twice at work. I know that Dunk loves it when I step by, but I also know that I distract them too much and than they can't get their work done. Today I'm a bit restless, I'm bored, but I don't wanna do anything either. I just took a nap and now I'm strolling around the house.
The doorbell rings and I waddle towards the front door. I hope someone's coming to visit me! Fiona maybe.
"Lee!" I cry out surprised when I open the door.
"Hey babe!" he grins broadly and gives me a big kiss.
"What are you doing here?" I ask when he wraps his arms around me.
"They didn't need me in the studios for a couple of hours, so I left as fast as I could before they changed their minds. And what could I do better than visit my favourite baby-whale?"
I slap him on the arm.
"Oh, sorry. You're so big now that you're not a baby-whale anymore, but a big whale," he says with a cheeky grin. I raise my hand again but he quickly runs away from me to the living room.
"Yeah, make fun of me and than run away! Especially when Dunk's not around to his you for me!" I call after him. He gives me another cheeky grin but than his grin disappears.
"Speaking of Dunk"
"What about him?" I ask, sitting down on the couch.
"He's working longer today, he's not coming form for dinner," Lee brings the bad news. My face drops.
"He's doing extra work, so he can spend more time with you later. He's trying to finish things up, you know," Lee kneels down in front of me.
I nod. "I know."
"I'll get you something to drink. What do you want?" he asks sweetly.
"A double whisky on the rocks," I give a deep sigh. Lee smiles and gives me a kiss on my forehead. He returns with two glassed of orange juice.
"Sorry, couldn't find the whisky," he winks and sits down next to me. "I'll take you out for dinner tonight, than you don't have to eat alone," he suggests.
"That would be great! You're so sweet, if I wouldn't have Dunk, I would be jealous of Patty!" I call out.
"You don't have to be jealous at anyone! You've got a loving fianc, expecting two babies I guess a lot of people are jealous at you!" he grins.
"Ha, I bet they wouldn't be if they knew how heavy it is to carry two babies around with you all day and night!" I call out. "I'm sorry, I'm just not in a very good mood today," I apologize immediately.
"Hey, nobody's blaming you!"
"So, how are things between you and Patty?" I change the subject.
"Excellent!' Lee gives me a big smile.
We chat about a lot of things until suddenly it's time for Lee to leave.
"Come to the studios at six. Than you can kick Dunk for not coming home for dinner, and than I'll take you to a restaurant," the turns to me at the front door.
"Do you have to leave now? I'll be so bored!" I pout.
"Yeah, I really have to go. Hey, you used to write poems, right?"
I nod.
"Than write a poem for me, you can read it aloud when you pick me up tonight," he grins.
"A good poem it will be!" I stick out my tongue at him.
"Bye babes," he kisses me and leaves.
All afternoon I think of the poem Lee asked me to write. Less than half an hour before I have to leave, the floor is covered with crumpled papers and I still don't have a poem. I'm getting angry at Lee for asking me for a poem, but I'm angrier at myself, because I don't have any inspiration. With clenched teeth I finally write something down in less than 5 minutes. Without reading it over I fold the paper and put it in my bag.
I get ready to leave and lock the door behind me.
At the studios Lee's already waiting for me at the door.
"What took you so long? I was getting worried!" he calls out.
"Your poem!" I give him an accusing look. "And you shouldn't get worried if I'm only 10 minutes late! I'm only pregnant, not stupid or blind!" I smirk.
He starts to laugh and leads me upstairs. I hug and kiss Sy and Ant, who are also getting ready to leave.
"Dunk isn't ready yet," Ant says to me. "Didn't you tell her he'd be late?" he gives Lee a dirty look.
"Yeah, I did!" Lee calls out defensive. "I'm taking her out for dinner!"
"Relax guys," Sy laughs.
"So, where is Dunk?" I ask looking around.
"This way," Ant leads me through a long corridor.
"Antony!" someone calls out loudly when he wants to open a door. We turn around.
"Duncan doesn't want to be disturbed," a woman says to Ant.
"Nonsense," he shakes his head. "Of course he wants to be disturbed by his fiance!" He opens the door. "Oi Dunk!" he calls out.
Dunk turns around, looking annoyed.
"Oh, hi!" he starts to smile when he sees me.
"Told you so," Ant grins at the woman. I hear Lee and Sy sniggering behind me. Dunk gives me a soft, sweet kiss.
"I'm sorry I can't be home for dinner babe," he says.
"That's okay, Lee's taking me out for dinner," I smile.
"Oh, that's what he was saying! I wasn't listening to him, and by the time I realized he was saying something about you, he had already left!" Dunk grins.
"Nice! Now even my mates don't listen to me anymore!" Lee calls out.
"Aww, poor boy. But I listened to you!" I grin.
"You really did make a poem than?" he grins surprised. I nod and search for the folded paper in my bag. Meanwhile Lee tells the others about his request.
"Silence please!" I say, hardly suppressing an evil grin.
