Monkey's Audio is lossless audio compression for Windows. Audio files in standard WAV (PCM) format can be compressed into APE files and save approximately 30%-50% without losing any quality. Software supporting APE files recognize APE files for playback, burning and audio mixing - without the user having to convert them manually. Unlike MP3/AAC/OGG compression, APE is lossless: converting APE to WAV will restore the digital audio data to its original state.
